In late 2015, Cole Sternberg embarked on the maiden voyage of a shipping vessel that crossed the Pacific from the Japanese shipyard where it was built. Sternberg spent twenty-one days on the ship, exploring the macro nature of the surrounding expanse of the ocean and the micro existence of life on the ship. In just a moment later, his handmade edition exclusive to Exhibition A, Sternberg created thermal transfers in his studio to showcase a photograph of an obstructed sunset witnessed during a moment aboard the ship. A handmade edition of 25, just a moment later features intentional unique variants and is signed and numbered on the front.
Sternberg will exhibit unique works from the same series with MAMA Gallery at Zona Maco Foto in Mexico City later this month. His paintings that address the same horizon line will also be shown in October at ArtBo in Bogota, Columbia.
