The summer involves another Pacific crossing.
Today in Jakarta, my paintings are presented at Art Jakarta with Yeo Workshop in 'Untethered Environments.' The exhibition features my work alongside the black and white landscape paintings of Indonesian luminary, Maryanto, and the robotic moving mountains of Vietnamese multi-disciplinarian, Tuan Mami. Accompanying the presentation is a critical essay by artist and writer Shubigi Rao. Here is the digital version for your reading pleasure.
Today in Seattle, my works are presented at the Seattle Art Fair with Peter Blake Gallery alongside another group of artists I admire greatly, many of which are also fellow Californians: Lita Albuquerque, Peter Alexander, Stephanie Bachiero, Larry Bell, Joe Goode, James Hayward, Scot Heywood, John M. Miller, Helen Pashgian and Jan Maarten Voskuil.
Below are peeks into both fairs and my works at each.
